We had a lot of fun this sunday at the PAM Festival. We played our first full acoustic set. We like to thank the kind people of stichting polderkolder for the great day!

New gig @ Merleyn

Another show to add to the list! january 15 next year we will be playing for club 3voor12 arnhem/nijmegen in Merleyn nijmegen together with the swedisch expirimental prog rockers Gösta Berling’s Saga!

PS. Our previously planned gig with Macual at NDRGRND will be moved to march 19 next year!

PAM Festival

We will be doing a 40 minute acoustic session at the PAM Festival december 13 in Druten. The festival starts at 15:00u!
Entrance is free! (bondsgebouw, Druten)

3voor12 Review Staddijk

We receieved a great review about our gig with Elle Bandita @ Staddijk from 3voor12!:

Het zit zo verdomd goed in elkaar allemaal en begeleid door de af en toe jazzy, dan weer gothic klinkende zangeres Marloes, betovert DNRWAYF je met hun muziek. Lastig om ze in een hokje te plaatsen. Hoor je The Gathering in een jazzclub? Hoor je Björk met een alternatieve rockband? Elke keer zetten ze je op een verkeerd spoor. Goed dat een Nijmeegse band zo origineel kan zijn. Het lijkt alsof ze al heel snel weer het podium verlaten, in ieder geval was het veel te kort voor de toeschouwers. Voor de meesten althans, want het moet gezegd worden; you love it or you hate it. De band maakt geen enkel compromis. En dat is mooi

Staddijk

Even though we had some trouble hearing ourselves on stage, we played a pretty good set. The Vlegels were fun, their nicely composed songs impressed us and Elle Bandita was the Rock Diva you expect her to be. fun was had by all, especially the audience

3voor12 review & Great times @Luxor Live

We had a great time this friday @ Luxor Live, playing one of our best shows yet. We like to thank the great people at the Luxor theatre and GeselXL. Also big thanks to the Gathering for just being cool.

..En dan slaat de muziek toe. Verrast en verbaasd kijk ik naar een formatie van blazers en gitaren die op een dergelijk briljante wijze in harmonie zijn gebracht dat mijn oren niet precies weten wat zij ermee aan moeten. Do Not Run We Are Your Friends. Als profeten van de avant-garde zijn zij uit het duister van de Luxor opgestaan om het licht te komen brengen. Ik weet nu hoe Tony Wilson zich voelde toen hij Joy Division ontdekte..

unplugged

we did an acoustic* session for Lopend Vuur this saturday which surprised us by how much fun it was. just two songs (Tiny Little Giant and Crawling Backwards) and a short interview in something like 20 minutes. the results can be seen on the Lopen Vuur site and (maybe) TV Gelderland.

* aside from the fact that there weren’t any specifically acoustic instruments used.

LuxorLive tomorrow night!
